I recently started working with affirmations on a consistent basis after reading the book “You Can Heal Your Life” by Louise Hay. They have become such a part of my routine and my well being that if I don’t do them I feel a noticeable difference in my body and my energy. While I realize that we all have things that work for us, I strongly recommend at least giving them a try. The shifts that have taken place for me have been remarkable. At first you may be resistant. You may feel quite uncomfortable. You may stutter or mess up what you are saying. You may think it is stupid. This only means that whatever you are saying holds a lot of energy around it. In other words it is a sensitive subject for you and needs to be diffused. As you continue on it will become easier and you will begin to see small and then even bigger shifts taking place. This is powerful stuff.
The process for doing Affirmations:
Stand in the mirror and look right into your own eyes. Find some affirmations that work for you and recite them 5-10 times each. Here a few to get you started. Remember you can always alter them to make them work for you but once you pick one commit to it for at least two weeks or maybe longer. Some I just continue to say because they feel good and it makes sense for me. As you continue things may come up for you and you will recognize that the issue lies deeper. At that point you can shift to what makes sense for you. Just trust yourself. You are your best guide.
I am open to change: This is good to do if you are very resistant to doing these or making changes in your life. You can lightly touch your throat as you say it as the throat chakra is connected to change.
